Suraksha Chakra
SURAKSHA CHAKRA is a pan India project designed to enhance the social skills of students through community exposure and create social intellectual capital contributing towards nation building initiatives of the Government. In this project students get opportunities to work in rural India to find their real-time problems and provide a meaningful and sustainable solution based on their classroom engagement. Communities for this project are identified after a careful study considering students safety, learning opportunities and the level of difficulties like people below poverty line, presence of tribal population, higher incidence of man animal conflict. This project is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG number 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG number 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). This project is also contributing a value proposition in terms of facilitating the last mile journey and last mile delivery of different state and central government schemes.

One of the innovative disruptions under this project is pan India Insurance Coverage Program. This program is designed to spread the insurance literacy (The last mile journey) and Complete insurance coverage (The last mile delivery). This program is been piloted at the Chakkittapara Gram Panchayat the third largest Gram Panchayat of the State of Kerala, India in association with Chakkittapara Service Co-operative Bank and Chakkittapara Gram Panchayat. As a result of the socio-economic survey conducted under this program, all the eligible uninsured members of the Gram Panchayat are been insured under the Government Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and which made the Gram Panchayat to achieve the status of 100% insured Gram Panchayat.

On 16 August 2023, the District Collector of Kozhikode, has declared the Chakkittapara Gram Panchayat as 100% insured Gram Panchayat.
Thereby targeting to insure all the villages in India by 2033.
Suvarna Rekha (Suraksha Chakra at Puthuppadi District), Kerala
Suvarna Rekha (Puduppadi Insurance project) is the Phase - 2 of Suraksha chakra project that was successfully implemented at Chakkittapara Gram Panchayat in Kerala. Suvarna Rekha was conceived to validate the successful model implemented at Chakkittapara and to test the learning outcomes in Phase -1 at Puduppadi, so that the rest of Kerala could be covered through the validated model to complete the insurance protection gap.


Wheels of Progress (Suraksha Chakra for Karnataka State)
The launch of insurance social outreach project in the state of Karnataka has commenced with the Gram panchayat of Marasur in Anekal Taluk. The project was inaugurated on 10th August, 2024. Subsequently a scientific survey was conducted involving a task force which included students and staff of Christ University and officials of Marasur Gram Panchayat.
