ESG Immersion Visit

The immersion visit to Chakittapara village was an initiative designed to bridge classroom learning on Environmental, Social and Governance principles with real, on-ground experience.The visit gave students a firsthand understanding of rural life, local livelihoods, and the environmental and social challenges faced by the community. Interacting directly with villagers helped students appreciate the practical dimensions of sustainability, moving beyond theoretical frameworks discussed in the classroom.

The programme encouraged students to observe local practices around resource use, agriculture, and community governance, while also fostering empathy and awareness about the socio-economic realities outside an urban campus setting. It reinforced the idea that ESG is not just a corporate framework but a lived reality for many communities across the country.
Such immersion visits form an important part of the department's experiential learning approach, allowing students to connect academic concepts with tangible social impact. The Chakittapara visit stood out as a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on their role as future business leaders in driving inclusive and responsible growth.

Regenesis
​
Regenesis 1.0 & 2.0 Regenesis 1.0 and 2.0 were high-impact, simulation-based Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) competitions designed to immerse students in complex, real-world sustainability challenges. While Regenesis 1.0 was hosted in the main auditorium in front of an audience of 2,000 people, both iterations utilized an intellectually rigorous three-round format. Participants navigated nation-building under strict ESG constraints, engaged in global diplomatic negotiations during a simulated "Rare Earth Shock" resource crisis, and managed ethical dilemmas under intense media and regulatory scrutiny. The escalating crisis scenario required teams to think strategically and diplomatically, blending ESG policy design with international alliance-building and crisis communication. Ultimately, the competitions provided practical exposure to managing emerging global risks related to green transitions, teaching students how to balance economic continuity with environmental responsibility and transparent governance.
Chaas Drive
​
The Chaas Drive is a multi-city grassroots initiative by the Sage Collective, bringing the humble, protein-rich tradition of buttermilk to communities across Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Mohali, and Hyderabad. Rooted in the belief that wellness should be accessible to everyone, the drive reaches daily wage workers, commuters, and local residents the very people most exposed to heat and least served by conventional health messaging.

At its core, the initiative tackles a quietly pressing issue: India's widespread protein deficiency. By distributing fresh, wholesome buttermilk as a cooling and nutritious alternative to sugary, carbonated drinks, volunteers offer more than relief from the heat they spark conversation. Face-to-face interactions across metro stations, construction sites, markets, and public spaces became opportunities for genuine nutritional dialogue, helping demystify healthy eating for communities often left out of these conversations.
Executed through partnerships with local organizations and driven entirely by student volunteers, the Chaas Drive reflects the Sage Collective's larger philosophy that meaningful impact starts small, local, and human. Across every city it touches, the drive continues to blend compassionate service with grassroots education, proving that sustainable change often begins with something as simple as a shared drink.
Cleanup Drive

Cleanup Drives brought together student volunteers from the Sage Collective for a hands-on environmental initiative at one of Bengaluru's well-known urban lakes. Recognizing the growing strain that urban lakes face from unchecked waste and pollution, volunteers came together to clear litter and debris from the lake's surroundings, restoring a small but meaningful part of the city's green cover.
Beyond the physical act of cleaning, the drive served as a platform to raise awareness about the fragile state of urban water bodies and the collective responsibility citizens hold in preserving them. Volunteers engaged in on-ground conversations with visitors and passersby, encouraging mindful waste disposal and a deeper appreciation for the ecological role lakes play in a rapidly urbanizing city.
The initiative reflects the Sage Collective's broader commitment to translating environmental awareness into direct action proving that sustainability isn't confined to classrooms or policy papers, but lives in the everyday effort to protect the spaces we share.
Plantation & Seed Ball Drive

The Plantation and Seed Ball Drive stands as one of the Sage Collective's most impactful environmental initiatives, undertaken in partnership with the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA), E-Cure, and Ploggers Army. Through this collaboration, over 200 trees have been planted across various locations, contributing directly to the city's green cover and long-term ecological balance.

Alongside plantation efforts, the drive incorporated seed ball activities a simple yet powerful technique that allows seeds to be distributed across barren or hard-to-reach land, giving them a better chance to germinate naturally with the arrival of rains. This dual approach combined immediate, visible action with a longer-term, low-maintenance strategy for afforestation.

By working alongside established environmental and civic organizations, the Sage Collective ensured that each plantation effort was rooted in expert guidance and sustained follow-through, rather than being a one-time gesture. The initiative reflects the club's belief that real environmental impact comes from consistency and collaboration turning small, everyday actions into a growing, living contribution to the city's ecological future.
Workshops by the Sage Collective

The Sage Collective organizes panel discussions that bring together voices from academia, industry, and policy to explore the evolving landscape of sustainability, governance, and ethical business practice. These sessions create a rare space where students can engage directly with practitioners who navigate these challenges in the real world moving conversations beyond textbooks and into lived experience.
Each panel is curated to spark meaningful dialogue, offering multiple perspectives on complex issues rather than singular, one-sided viewpoints. By featuring corporate leaders, sustainability officers, policy experts, and thought leaders, our discussions expose students to the nuances, trade-offs, and real-world constraints that shape decision-making at scale.

ESG Escape Room

The ESG Escape Room is one of the Sage Collective's signature experiential learning initiatives, designed to turn complex sustainability concepts into an immersive, hands-on challenge. Rather than learning about ESG principles through lectures alone, participants step into simulated scenarios where they must think on their feet solving sustainability-focused puzzles under real time pressure.
Each challenge is built around practical dilemmas tied to environmental, social, and governance themes, requiring participants to apply critical thinking, strategic resource management, and effective teamwork to "escape" within the given time. The format transforms abstract ideas like ethical trade-offs, resource scarcity, or regulatory compliance into tangible problems that demand quick, collaborative decision-making.
Beyond the fun and competitive edge, the Escape Room serves a deeper purpose: making ESG concepts memorable and relatable. ESG Face Off

ESG Face Off is a dynamic debate-style initiative by the Sage Collective, designed to sharpen critical thinking through structured argumentation on pressing sustainability and governance issues. Participants go head-to-head, defending or challenging positions on real-world ESG dilemmas from corporate accountability to environmental policy trade-offs pushing them to think beyond surface-level opinions.
The format encourages participants to research rigorously, build persuasive arguments, and think on their feet while responding to counterpoints in real time. By framing sustainability topics as debatable, contested issues rather than settled facts, ESG Face Off highlights the genuine complexity and nuance behind decisions that shape businesses, policies, and communities.
Beyond honing public speaking and argumentation skills, the initiative pushes participants to see multiple sides of an issue an essential skill for anyone navigating the often ambiguous, high-stakes world of environmental, social, and governance decision-making.

ESG X Traitors

ESG X Traitors is a bold, game-based initiative by the Sage Collective that reimagines sustainability learning through the lens of the popular social strategy format, Traitors. Blending suspense, strategy, and sustainability knowledge, the game challenges participants to navigate hidden roles, shifting alliances, and high-stakes deception all while being tested on their ESG awareness at critical junctures.
As players strategize, question loyalties, and try to outwit one another, the game weaves in sustainability-focused challenges and questions, ensuring that entertainment and education move hand in hand. This unique fusion keeps participants engaged through psychological intrigue while subtly reinforcing key environmental, social, and governance concepts in a low-pressure, high-fun environment.
By merging pop-culture inspired gameplay with substantive ESG content, ESG X Traitors reflects the Sage Collective's larger philosophy: that impactful learning doesn't have to feel like learning at all. It's proof that even the most serious sustainability conversations can thrive in playful, unconventional formats making the message stick long after the game ends.
ESG Audit of the Department

The ESG Audit is one of the Sage Collective's most institutionally significant initiatives, designed to evaluate and strengthen sustainability practices within the Department of Professional Studies itself. Rather than looking outward alone, this audit turns the lens inward assessing how well the department's own operations align with environmental, social, and governance standards.
Through a structured evaluation process, the audit examines existing practices across key ESG parameters, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of strength. This self-reflective approach ensures that sustainability isn't just a subject taught within the department, but a principle actively practiced and continuously improved upon.
By holding the department accountable to the same standards it advocates for in the wider world, the Sage Collective reinforces a core belief: real credibility in ESG advocacy begins with walking the talk. The audit serves as both a diagnostic tool and a roadmap, guiding meaningful, incremental improvements toward a more sustainable and responsible institutional environment.

Beyond flagship events and experiential programs, the Sage Collective has driven several foundational initiatives that strengthen ESG education and awareness at a structural level.
The club developed a dedicated HED (Higher Education Department) Module, integrating sustainability concepts directly into classroom curricula ensuring ESG principles reach students not just through extracurricular activities, but as part of their core academic learning.
To promote institutional accountability, the Sage Collective established standardized ESG metrics, creating a common framework for all campus societies and student organizations to measure, track, and evaluate their own sustainability practices embedding responsible governance into the broader student ecosystem.
The club also runs a Daily ESG News Channel, delivering curated updates on global market trends, regulatory shifts, and environmental innovations directly to students through WhatsApp, Instagram, and LinkedIn making sustainability awareness a consistent, everyday habit rather than an occasional conversation.
Together, these initiatives reflect the Sage Collective's commitment to building sustainability infrastructure that extends beyond individual events embedding ESG thinking into curriculum, culture, and daily digital life.
