DigiNova

New Light for Digital Learning and Equity

In a world where technology shapes everyday life, DigiNova was born with a simple yet powerful mission to make digital skills accessible to everyone. Launched in 2020 by the Department of Professional Studies at CHRIST University, it bridges the gap between advanced technology education and communities often left behind. From urban campuses in Bangalore to rural colleges and tribal schools in Jharkhand, DigiNova has built a vibrant learning community that crosses barriers of geography and background.

Since then, DigiNova has empowered more than 18,800 students and educators, giving them hands-on experience with today’s most in-demand tools like AI/ML, Generative AI, Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, and Excel. Learners not only enhance their career opportunities but also apply these skills to create meaningful change in their communities.

What makes DigiNova unique is its spirit of inclusivity and adaptability. Learning doesn’t stop at classrooms, and it continues through peer clubs, outreach projects, and real-world collaborations. Teachers too discover new confidence, emerging as champions of digital change in their institutions.

At its heart, DigiNova is about people. It is shaping not just skilled graduates, but changemakers, individuals ready to shape the future with confidence, compassion, and creativity. It shows that when innovation meets purpose, technology becomes a powerful force for equity and empowerment.

DigiNova Stakeholder  Feedback

Alumni (Christ University) Feedback

“Actuaries are Data Analysts who deal with very large amounts of data daily. Our regular work involves modelling, analysing and interpreting data. Generally, 5-10 different tools are used for analytics and our work. The training provided by Manoj Sir and other industry experts on Advanced Excel, Tableau and Python are very useful at work. As students we were able to gain expertise in these tools, in a short span of time through practical training. The exercises and the capstone project during the training helped us to build our concepts strongly and their practical applications. Additionally, learning such software is quintessential for every work nowadays and I realized that those who are experts in these areas are in high demand across organizations. Learning such tools and software also helps in broadening our minds and allows us to creatively think of various possibilities to solve a particular problem. I encourage the department to continue to provide such intense trainings for students on Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, AI/ML etc.”

Academia Feedback

"A team of teachers from our school participated in a transformative 3-day skill development workshop conducted by experts from Christ University and industry professionals. The skill development workshop was conducted on Data Analysis and Visualization using Power BI and Workflow Automation in Excel using Generative AI. This hands-on, practical workshop introduced our teachers to advanced digital tools for data analytics. This was their first experience learning such advanced technologies and tools.

The workshop not only equipped them with real-world skills but also ignited their passion for digital learning and skill development. Many teachers have continued their learning journey, and they have commenced sharing this knowledge with colleagues and students. This has created an environment conducive for continuous digital learning.

Our students also have benefited greatly from these training sessions. Hundreds of our students got the opportunity to develop practical skills in Tableau and Python code generation using Generative AI. These training sessions have sparked their curiosity and confidence in digital learning.

To recognise their dedication and support their advanced learning needs, teachers who successfully completed the training and continued their learning journey plan to visit Christ University for further training and skill development.

I take this opportunity to congratulate Christ University in taking up this ambitious digital skill development initiative.  I also appreciate the efforts of the university’s faculty and experts who travelled to our remote tribal school to make this initiative impactful and valuable. This noble effort has opened new avenues for digital learning for our teachers and students, and this will prepare them to face the digital world with agility and confidence."
